Izabella Ortiz Named SLC Offensive Player of the Week

Ortiz becomes the second Ladyjack this season to earn Offensive Player of the Week.
FRISCO, Texas- Izabella Ortiz was named SLC Offensive Player of the Week, the conference announced Monday afternoon.
Ortiz made her triumphant return to the court after suffering a season-ending ACL tear last season at SLU. She played in both of SFA's dominant wins over New Orleans and Southeastern Louisiana, recording 17 kills, one error, four blocks, and hit .667 overall. In the match against the Lady Lions, Bella led the team with 12 kills and hit .688 while also adding three blocks to cap off her season debut weekend. Ortiz drew her first start against SLU and played a major role for SFA, who snapped a 36-conference game win streak for SLU and the Lions' four-game win streak over the 'Jacks for their 40th win of the series.
