
‘Jacks Haunt the Colonels in Thursday Night Showdown

NACOGDOCHES, Texas- The Stephen F. Austin volleyball program hosted the Nicholls Colonels for Haunt the Court Night in the Pressure Cooker.
 
SFA quickly jumped out to a 5-3 lead before going on a 6-1 spurt to extend their lead to 11-4. The 'Jacks finished the set on an 11-2 run to secure a commanding 25-9 first set victory.
 
The 'Jacks continued their hot trend with an early 8-4 lead in the second set. SFA did not surrender the lead for the rest of the set by securing a 25-19 second set victory.
 
In the third set, the Ladyjacks took an early 8-2 lead before the Colonels cut the deficit in half, 9-6. SFA finished the third set and swept Nicholls with a 5-1 run to secure a 25-15 third set victory.
 
POSTGAME NOTES
• The 'Jacks sweep the season series against the Colonels and increase their win streak to 18.
• Kennedy Jones records back-to-back double-doubles with 12 kills and 11 digs.
• Jayden Flynn is officially seventh on the All-Time Aces list at SFA with 151 aces.
• Flynn also led the offense with 25 assists while the team hit .373 for the match.
• Jordan Henderson led the net defense with four blocks.
• Caroline Kahle led the back line with 16 digs.
• SFA was plus eight at the service line, out pacing Nicholls 9-1.
