
SFA Returns to the Pressure Cooker to Face Nicholls and McNeese

NACOGDOCHES, Texas- The Stephen F. Austin volleyball program returns home for two matches in the Pressure Cooker this week. The 'Jacks will face Nicholls on Thursday at 6:00 p.m. for Haunt the Court Night and will wrap up the weekend with McNeese on Saturday at 12:00 p.m. for a black out.
WHERE TO TUNE IN/PROMOTIONS
• Greg Miller and Brittany Castledine will be on the call for both matches on ESPN+ this week.
• For Thursday's Haunt the Court Night, there will be candy bags given out while supplies last.
LAST TIME OUT
• SFA moved to 57-5 against NSU with a 24-4 record in Natchitoches with a 3-0 sweep.
• In the third set, SFA hit .586 as they recorded 17 kills on 29 swings with no errors.
• Camryn Hill paced the 'Jacks with her fourth double-double with 13 kills and 12 digs.
• Kennedy Jones recorded her second double-double of the season with 10 kills and 11 digs.
• Jayden Flynn ran the SFA offense with 23 assists followed by 16 from Zoe Gun.
• Jordan Henderson was a menace at the net as she was in on eight of SFA's 11 blocks.
• Caroline Kahle helped Hill and Jones hold down the back line with 11 digs.
SCOUTING NICHOLLS
• The Colonels enter the Pressure Cooker with an 11-12 record and a 1-9 record in conference play with their lone win being a sweep against Northwestern State.
• Tamara Chavez leads the team with 301 kills (4.30 per set), but did not appear in the October 9 match against the 'Jacks.
• Junior setter, Isabella Padilla runs the Colonels offense with 634 assists with 15 of those coming against the Ladyjacks.
• Freshman Libero, Karina Smith holds the back line with 201 digs and averages 2.75 per set.
• Harper Holden heads up the net defense with 59 blocks on the season and recorded two blocks the last time the Colonels and the 'Jacks faced off.
SCOUTING MCNEESE
• The Cowgirls enter the week with a 6-16 overall record and a 2-8 conference record with wins over New Orleans and Northwestern State.
• Senior outside hitter, Kayla Wilson leads McNeese with 233 kills and recorded 12 kills against the 'Jacks on October 11.
• Freshman setter, Kinga Ziolkowska runs the Cowgirl offense with 397 assists on the season and 11 of those came in the match against SFA.
• Senior libero, Lauren Fuller leads the team with 264 digs and averages 3.47 digs per set.
• Ava Henry and Jordan Gamble are at the top of the net defense for the Cowgirls with 44 and 39 blocks respectively.
SERIES HISTORY
• SFA defeated Nicholls 3-0 in Thibodaux on October 9. Jordan Henderson led the team with nine kills, Jayden Flynn recorded 17 assists, Caroline Kahle recorded 11 digs, and Kyanna Creecy had five blocks.
• SFA leads the series against Nicholls 52-6 with a 25-2 home record and are riding a 17-game winning streak.
• The 'Jacks swept the Cowgirls in Lake Charles on October 11. Jayden Flynn officially moved into seventh place in All-Time Assists at SFA. Katherine Holtman recorded her 500th career kill and led the team with 13. Kennedy Jones was all over the stats sheet with nine kills, hit .563, two aces, four blocks, and six digs.
• In the series against McNeese, the Ladyjacks lead the series 48-11 with a 27-4 home record and have a 17-game win streak against the Cowgirls.

• SFA is +73 in the aces margin this season and have outaced their opponents 146-73 which ranks them 4th in the nation.
