Camryn Hill and Kennedy Jones lead the way with double-doubles as SFA moves to 9-1 in SLC play.

NATCHITOCHES, La.- The Stephen F. Austin volleyball program finished up their two-game road trip across the Sabine River against the Northwestern State Lady Demons.

The first set was tightly contested as neither team held more than a three-point lead until the Ladyjacks went on a 7-1 spurt to take a 17-11 lead. The 'Jacks finished the first set on a 3-0 run with a kill from Katherine Holtman securing a 25-17 first set victory for SFA.

The second set was almost a carbon copy of the first where it was tied at eight until SFA went on a 4-0 spurt to take a 12-8 lead. Late in the set SFA held a 23-19 lead but the Lady Demons fought back to cut the deficit to one, 24-23. Izabella Ortiz finished off the second set for the 'Jacks with a kill to secure a 25-23 second set victory.

SFA put the pedal to the metal in the third set by jumping out to a 13-4 lead highlighted by a 7-0 scoring run. The Ladyjacks ran away with the rest of the set as they cruised to a 25-12 third set victory to sweep away the Lady Demons.

POSTGAME NOTES
• SFA moves to 57-5 against NSU with a 24-4 record in Natchitoches.
• In the third set, SFA hit .586 as they recorded 17 kills on 29 swings with no errors.
• Camryn Hill paced the 'Jacks with her fourth double-double with 13 kills and 12 digs.
• Kennedy Jones recorded her second double-double of the season with 10 kills and 11 digs.
• Jayden Flynn ran the SFA offense with 23 assists followed by 16 from Zoe Gun.
• Jordan Henderson was a menace at the net as she was in on eight of SFA's 11 blocks.
• Caroline Kahle helped Hill and Jones hold down the back line with 11 digs.

UP NEXT
The Ladyjacks will head back to Nac for two matches next week. Nicholls will head to the Pressure Cooker for a match on Thursday, October 30 at 6:00 p.m. then the McNeese Cowgirls roll into town to play the 'Jacks on Saturday, November 1 at 12:00 p.m.
