Camryn Hill leads the way for SFA with a double-double as Tanishua Joseph makes her 2025 debut.

COMMERCE, Texas- The Stephen F. Austin volleyball program traveled to Commerce for a Thursday night matchup against the East Texas A&M Lions.

SFA jumped out to a 5-1 lead in the first set. After a mini three-point run, the 'Jacks took a commanding 12-4 lead over the Lions. The Ladyjacks maintained a comfortable lead the rest of the set. Kennedy Jones sealed a 25-14 first set victory with a kill.

The Lions responded by taking an early 6-2 lead in the second. After a 6-1 spurt SFA took a 13-12 lead. Later in the set the 'Jacks went on a 4-0 run capped off by an ace from Jones, 21-15. Jordan Henderson dealt the final blow in the second set to secure a 25-17 second set victory.

The beginning of the third set was competitive until SFA went on an incredible 18-2 run that was capped off by the first kill from Tanishua Joseph as she made her 2025 debut, 20-6. ETAMU responded with a 6-1 run but it was too little too late as SFA cruised to a 25-16 third set victory.

POSTGAME NOTES
• SFA secures their third win over ETAMU and their first series win in Commerce.
• Camryn Hill led the team with 11 kills and finished with her third double-double of the season with 13 digs.
• Jayden Flynn recorded her 2,500th career assist and led the team with 19 followed by 18 from Zoe Gun.
• Gun led the ace barrage from the 'Jacks with 4 followed by three from Kennedy Jones.
• Defensively, Kyanna Creecy led the team with five blocks for her eighth match this season with at least five blocks.

The 'Jacks make the trek across the Sabine to face off against the Lady Demons of Northwestern State on Saturday, October 25 at 1:00 p.m.
