
Ladyjacks Hit the Road to Commerce and Natchitoches

NACOGDOCHES, Texas- The Stephen F. Austin volleyball program heads to Commerce for a Thursday night matchup against East Texas A&M before traveling to Natchitoches for a Saturday afternoon clash with the Lady Demons of Northwestern State.
WHERE TO TUNE IN
• Neither match this week will be broadcasted due to conflicts at the host institutions.
• Greg Miller will be live on sfavolleyblog.net with the radio call for both matches.
ABOUT THE LADYJACKS
• The 'Jacks are ranked 93 in the most recent NCAA RPI Poll and are the only SLC team in the top 100 for the third week in a row.
• SFA won their conference opener for the 14th season in a row by securing a 3-1 win over tournament defending champions, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.
• Head Coach Debbie Humphreys secured her 850th career win in a five-set thriller against Abilene Christian on September 5.
• With John Cook (NEB) and Mary Wise (FLA) announcing their retirements over the summer, Coach Humphreys is now one of two active coaches in Division I to win over 800 matches and is the only active coach to win 800 at one institution. She has the second most wins among active DI coaches with 850.
• The 'Jacks finished a tough non-conference slate with a 5-6 record. They picked up wins over UTSA, Texas State, Louisiana, Abilene Christian, and Tarleton. SFA hosted No. 10 SMU and UTEP in the second SFA Tournament to close non-conference.
SCOUTING ETAMU
• The Lions enter this matchup with a 6-13 overall record and a 4-4 conference record. Last week, ETAMU swept Nicholls in their Thursday match before defeating McNeese in five on Saturday.
• Junior outside hitter, Gracie Campbell leads the Lions offense with 268 kills (3.77 per set) and is second on the team with 19 service aces.
• Junior setter, Haley Mullaney runs the ETAMU offense with 397 assists (5.67 per set) and is third on the team with 14 service aces.
• Sophomore outside hitter, Rendi Fetty leads the service line pressure with 23 aces on the season.
• Reigning back-to-back SLC Defensive Player of the Week, freshman libero, Jade Washington leads the back line for the Lions with 417 digs (5.96 per set).
• Sophomore RS/MB, Nevaeh Smith leads the Lions block with 47 on the season followed by junior middle blocker, Brook Box who has 39.
SCOUTING NORTHWESTERN STATE
• The Lady Demons enter this week with a 1-21 overall record and a 0-8 record in SLC play. NSU is set to take on Lamar on Thursday night.
• Senior middle blocker Deja Benjamin leads the team with 160 kills (2.22 per set).
• Redshirt freshman setter, Reagan Hamm runs the Lady Demons offense with 313 assists followed by junior setter, Jade Longlad who has 243 assists.
• Longlad leads the service pressure with 40 aces (0.57 per set) this season. Hamm follows with 22 aces.
• Freshman utility, Emmarie McFarland holds down the NSU back line with 238 digs.
• Junior middle blocker, Samaya Wesson leads the Lady Demons with 61 blocks, followed by Benjamin who has 47 blocks.
SERIES HISTORY
• SFA lead the series against ETAMU 2-0 with both wins coming in sweep fashion in the Pressure Cooker. This will be the Ladyjacks first time in Commerce in series history.
• The 'Jacks lead the Lady Demons 56-5 and are riding a nine-game win streak while only dropping three sets in those nine games.

• Jayden Flynn is two aces away from 150 and moving into seventh in all-time aces at SFA. Flynn is also 8 assists away from 2,500 career assists.
