SFA Grabs Four Top Three Finishes at Texas Relays

AUSTIN, Texas- Stephen F. Austin competed in their third track meet of the outdoor season. SFA traveled to the Mike A. Myers Stadium to compete in the Texas Relays. The meet was hosted by the University of Texas and included a field that featured a very high level of talent. The Lumberjacks finished with four top three finishes.

SFA's women finished with two top three victories by Timiejha Furlow and Rachel Taylor. Furlow competed in the 100m dash and finished 3rd with a time of 11.56. Taylor also grabbed a 3rd place finish with her time of 4:32.89 in the 1500m.

Jarvis Anderson and Cole Szegdga finished the Texas Relays as the other two Lumberjacks with top three finishes. Anderson continued his success as a freshman multi-sport athlete as he grabbed a 2nd place finish, with a time of 52.29 in the 400m hurdles. Szegda finished 3rd in the javelin throw, with 64.35m.

Stephen F. Austin will compete on April 5th in the Cameron Burrell Invitational. The meet will be hosted by the University of Houston and will only be one day (Friday).
