
Kiprotich Wins 1500m, Jacks Wrap Up Day One Action at Clyde Hart Classic

SFA heads back to Waco for full day of competition on Saturday
WACO, Texas – Stephen F. Austin wrapped up Friday's action at the Clyde Hart Classic which was highlighted by Paul Kiprotich winning the 1500m event. The Jacks return to Waco on Saturday for a full day of competition. Live results can be followed at www.sfajacks.com.
DAY 1 RESULTS
Kiprotich paced a dozen SFA runners in the 1500m by winning the event in 3:57.06 and the Jacks swept the podium with Pablo Lesarri (3:57.13) and Robert Fulle (3:57.30) earning second and third place finishes, respectively.
The Jacks placed 11 runners in the top 40 of the 1500m with Mercy Kipchumba (4:38.17) and Trude Lamb (4:38.27) leading the way in sixth and seventh place, respectively.
In the 200m, Parker Meyer (22.44), Nicolaus Ray (22.82) and Basia Mitchell (25.38) all placed inside the top 40 in their respective events. Alana Rouquette recorded a seventh place showing in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:03.02.
Victor Ramos led a five-man contingent in the hammer throw with a fifth-place result at 57.61m. Kason Reed placed sixth at 54.78. Alondra Loya placed inside the top five of the women's hammer with a long mark of 53.05m. Four other female Jacks placed inside the field's top 15.
Basia Mitchell finished in sixth place in the long jump with a mark of 5.98m. On the men's side, Ayden Colbert finished 13th at 6.33m. Reis Johnson placed eighth in the women's pole vault after clearing 3.62m.
