SFA Pitcher Caleb Rutledge Named to NCBWA 2024 Stopper of the Year Preseason Watch List

NACOGDOCHES, Texas- Caleb Rutledge has been named to the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association 2024 Stopper of the Year Preseason Watch List.
The right-handed reliever joins 73 players to the initial Watch List for the 19th Annual National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association Stopper of the Year Award, given to the top relief pitcher in NCAA Division I Baseball. Rutledge joins an elite list of Power-5 players across the country.
In his career at SFA the redshirt junior from Calhoun, Louisiana has 17 appearances with 28.1 innings pitched. Rutledge has a 2-1 overall record with 26 strikeouts, and a 1.87 WHIP.
