NACOGDOCHES, Texas- The SFA Ladyjacks stay home to take on UT Arlington in a big conference showdown.
A Look at the Lumberjacks:
The SFA Ladyjacks look to continue their amazing recent play to start the season as they take on the UT Arlington Mavericks. They come into this match 12-3 overall after winning their first conference showdown against UT Rio Grande Valley in three sets. Ielan Bradley continues to be a monster for the Ladyjacks, as her 184 kills easily lead the team, and she paced them once again in their conference opening win. Although Bradley has been amazing, there are a number of different players who have been a big part of the great start to the season. Izabella Ortiz, Ariana Pagan, and Camryn Hill all have over 100 kills, and 6 players have over 100 points. On the defensive side, Haley Hoang and Ortiz have been awesome, although they do it in a different way. For Hoang, she leads the team with 242 digs, while Ortiz leads with 73 blocks. Ortiz's 73 blocks places her an impressive seventh in the country. For the team, there are five players with over 100 digs, and three players with at least 50 blocks. The Jacks have been dominant at times this season, and look to keep that up.
A Look at the Mavericks:
UT Arlington come into this match having a great season as well, sitting at 11-3 overall, but they are coming off a tough loss to begin conference play. On offense, they have a three-headed monster, each of whom have over 130 kills. Brianna Ford leads them with 181, while Briana Brown and Jalie Tritt are close behind. Mollie Blank tops the Mavericks with 444 assists, and 10 service aces are one of five Mavericks in double-digits. On defense, Ali Wells leads them with 214 digs, while they have 8 players with double-digit blocks. The match should be a fun one, as the Mavs look to get back to .500 in conference play.
