ARLINGTON, Texas- The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjacks Volleyball team finishes their four-game road trip against the UTA Mavericks.
Ladyjacks at a Glance:
Stephen F. Austin makes an in-state trip to visit on the heels of a 3-1 win over the UTRGV Vaqueros on Thursday. In the match against the Vaqueros, the Ladyjacks led in points (79-66, aces (7-5), assists (53-50), hitting percentage (.339-.196), kills (58-52), and blocks (14-9).
Another game another jaw-dropping performance from reigning WAC Player of the Week Ielan Bradley. Bradley continues her domination this season as she added another 15 kills against the Vaqueros and finished second on the team in blocks with five to finish the game with a team-leading 18.5 points. Ariana Pagan recorded nine errorless kills against the Vaqueros to finish third on the team in kills. Izabella Ortiz stuffed the statsheet once again against the Vaqueros as she finished second on the team in kills with 10, second on the team in blocks with five, and finished with 15 points second only to Ielan Bradley. Jayden Flynn and Maddy Bourque continue to be kick starters for this high-powered Ladyjacks offense as Flynn finished with 27 assists and Bourque finished with 24. Defensively, freshman Kyanna Creecy made her presence known yet again as she finished with a team-leading six blocks while Haley Hoang led the team in digs with 15 followed by Camryn Hill who recorded 10.
The 'Jacks have been blazing hot since starting conference play as they have now won 11 straight games and are a perfect 11-0 in conference play while holding a 22-3 overall record and a 7-2 away record. With their 14 blocks against UTRGV, the 'Jacks rank second in the entire nation in Total Team Blocks with 242, which leaves them just four blocks behind TCU for top spot in the nation. Izabella Ortiz has played a key role in the block department for SFA as she ranks eighth in the nation with 117 blocks on the season. Meanwhile, Jayden Flynn and Maddy Bourque have powered SFA to the ninth ranked team in the nation in Team Assists with 1,120 on the year. The 'Jacks offensive dominance has landed them as the tenth ranked team in the nation in Team Kills with 1,212 on the year.

The Unveristiy of Texas Arlington Mavericks enter this game also coming off a win against the UTRGV Vaqueros in their last game. Like the 'Jacks, the Mavericks defeated UTRGV in four sets with a 3-1 win. In their match against UTRGV on Saturday, the Mavericks led in hitting percentage (.380-.190), points (76-62), kills (58-53), aces (7-5), blocks (11-4), and assists (55-47). Brianna Ford led the way for the Mavericks as she finished with a team-leading 18 kills, her seventh straight game with at least 15 kills. Mollie Blank continues to dish out assists at will for the Mavericks as she finished with a whopping 49 assists against the Vaqueros, her fifth time in the last six games with 40+ assists in a game. Alli Wells led the team with 14 digs while Kortney Puckett led with seven blocks. The Mavericks enter this home match against SFA starting a three-game homestand and are carrying a 17-7 overall record, a 6-5 conference record, and a 8-3 home record on the season.
