
Haley Hoang Named WAC Defensive Player of the Week & SFA All-Tournament Team Announced

DENVER, Colo.- Stephen F. Austin defensive specialist Haley Hoang was named the Western Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week, the league announced Monday afternoon.
Hoang recorded 91 digs this past week, with a game high of 28 against Tulsa which ties her season high. She also earned her 1,000th career dig in the game against South Alabama Friday night. This is the second week in a row that Hoang has won the award.
Hoang was named to the SFA All-Tournament Team along with Ielan Bradley, a Junior MB and Ariana Pagan, a Senior OH. Bradley had 28 kills and nine blocks during the tournament. Her five blocks against South Alabama ties her season high. Pagan had 29 kills and 29 digs during the tournament. She recorded a double-double in the game against South Alabama with 12 kills and 13 digs.
