Pagan & Hoang Named WAC Players of the Week & SFA All-Tournament Team Announced

DENVER, Colo.- Stephen F. Austin defensive specialist Haley Hoang was named the Western Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week and outside hitter Ariana Pagan was named the WAC Offensive Player of the Week, the league announced Monday afternoon.
Hoang recorded 55 digs this past weekend bringing her season total to 262 digs, which leads the team. Her game high was 21 digs against Texas A&M-Commerce. Hoang also recorded a double-double against Eastern Washington with 11 assists and 18 digs. She is ranked third in the nation with 5.70 digs per set.
Pagan had 33 kills this past weekend (11 each game) with a game high .524 hitting percentage against Eastern Washington. She recorded 28 digs, including her 1,000th career dig against Arkansas State. Pagan also recorded two double-doubles with 11 kills and 10 digs against Texas A&M-Commerce and Arkansas State, and was named the MVP of the All-Tournament team.
Pagan was also named to the SFA All-Tournament Team along with Ielan Bradley and Payton Cerny. Bradley had 21 kills this weekend with a game high hitting percentage of .667 against Texas A&M-Commerce. She also recorded six digs and six block assists. Cerny had 29 kills this past weekend including a season high of 15 kills against Eastern Washington and also had a .591 hitting percentage in that game. She also recorded seven digs and three block assists.
