Ladyjacks Battle Against UTSA

SAN ANTONIO, Texas- The University of Texas at San Antonio defeated the Stephen F. Austin Sunday afternoon in non-conference action. SFA falls to 1-5-1 on the season, while UTSA improves to 5-1-1.
Jayme Bailey scored the first goal of the game in the 40th minute from outside the penalty box and it squeaked past the goalie and into the lower left corner of the goal. UTSA scored to tie it up in the 43rd minute and took the lead in the 44th minute. SFA tied the game up at 2 in the 66th minute after a strike from Reaganne Crane, who got the pass from Jamie Ingrassia, from outside the penalty box went past the goalie into the lower right corner of the goal. UTSA extended their lead in the 79th and 82nd minute to make it a 4-2 game.
Bailey and Crane each recorded their first goals of the season, and Ingrassia recorded her first assist. Four different Ladyjacks recorded a shot on goal in this game (Crane, Bailey, Destiny Ramirez, and Teia Haynes). Goalkeeper, Lydia Sattler recorded seven saves in the match.
SFA will be heading to Utah for a two-game road swing against Utah Tech on Friday, September 16th at 5 p.m. and against Southern Utah on Sunday, September 18th at 12 p.m.
