SFA improved to 25-19 overall and 15-3 in WAC play, while Tarleton fell to 27-19 and 12-9 in conference play.
The Ladyjacks used a five-run first inning to gain early momentum.
SFA loaded the bases and Lexi Benson drew the walk to score Gabby Garcia, Sydnee Carithers reached on a fielder's choice to push across a run, Hope Lusk drew a bases-loaded walk, Mikaelah Burkland delivered an RBI single and Emily Berryhill drew another bases-loaded walk.
Sydnee Hebert added a solo home run in the fifth inning and Camryn Middlebrook produced an RBI single to right field.
In all, the Ladyjack offense was balanced with seven different student-athletes recording an RBI.
Kassidy Wilbur (19-9) earned the win in the circle. The senior tossed a complete game, allowed 11 hits, six runs, six walks and fanned seven batters.
