PVAMU homered in its part of the first inning before SFA used a seven-run second inning to put the game out of reach.
Lexi Benson put the Ladyjacks on the scoreboard with a solo homerun. Gaby Garcia singled to right field to push across a pair of runs and Camryn Middlebrook delivered a three-run home run. Sydnee Hebert capped the scoring with a solo home run and SFA opened up a 7-2 lead.
Hebert led the way for the Ladyjacks and batted 3-for-4 with five RBI and a three-run home run. Middlebrook finished 2-for-4 with four RBI and three-run home run.
Garcia and Dakotah Pool each added a pair of RBI.
As a team, the Ladyjacks produced 14 hits and drew three walks.
SFA returns to action Friday to begin a three-game series versus Tarleton State.
