The Western Athletic Conference announced Valeria Rosado as the Freshman of the Week on Monday morning. The standout outside hitter continued her solid offensive consistency this week to help the Ladyjacks to two conference victories over Lamar and UTRGV.
Her week was featured by 27 combined kills in the two-game stint, where she registered 15 kills with a .560 hitting percentage for 18.5 points against Lamar.
"Val is continuing to improve at a rapid pace," said Head Coach Debbie Humphreys. "To hit over .300 as an OH is in itself impressive, but to have her blocking numbers as a left side and to be our top server for the week, speaks volumes about her future."
To complement her offense, nine digs, three service aces, and six blocks on the week, with two of those blocks taking place in the single-game team blocks across four sets record in NCAA Division I against UTRGV.
