'Jack offer up Jaycees Field after Alto's field ravaged by tornados
NACOGDOCHES, Texas - In light of the devastation wrought by multiple tornadoes in Alto, Texas, over the past weekend, the SFA baseball team is playing host to the Alto High School baseball team for their game against Douglass High School. First pitch between the Yellowjackets and Fighting Indians is set for 6:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at Jaycees Field.

Originally Alto was supposed to host Douglass on the diamond, but the Yellowjackets' home field suffered severe damage as a result of the tornadoes that touched down in the east Texas town this past weekend. At that point, the SFA baseball team reached out to Alto High School to offer up Jaycees Field as a potential option to host the game which will also serve as Alto's senior night.
The most needed items for the citizens of Alto include insulin, diabetic testing strips, glucometers, Gatorade, sodas, chips (individual bags), sanitizer wipes, hand sanitizer, water, toilet paper, paper towels, storage totes, toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, soap, shampoo, diapers and wipes. These items will also be accepted at the SFA athletics field house in addition to Tuesday night's game.
Jaycees Field is located at 3715 Old Tyler Road in Nacogdoches, Texas, and for more information on Tuesday's game please call SFA athletics at 936-468-3501.
