Sophomore middle blocker was SFA's only double-digit kill producer
HAMILTON, N.Y. - Sophomore middle blocker Anyia Wiliams pounded down double-digit kills for the first time in 2018, but her 10 terminations were not enough to offset a strong Princeton attack and SFA suffered its first loss of 2018, falling 3-0 to the Tigers at Cotterell Court on the campus of Colgate University Friday afternoon.
The Ladyjacks were limited to a season-low attack percentage of .048 while the Tigers operated at a clip of .225 on offense to keep their perfect record intact.
SET ONE | Princeton 25, SFA 18
• After SFA and Princeton swapped points through the first half of the opening frame, the Tigers were able to get the upper hand by closing the set on a 12-3 run.
• Early on, junior Danae Daron and senior Makenzee Hanna were able to help the Ladyjacks establish a strong blocking scheme for the Tigers' attack. The pair combined for a pair of blocks to help SFA grab three of the first four points.
• Princeton answered with a 5-1 run featuring two kills and a service ace to go up 6-4 and the Tigers increased their edge to 11-7 before the Ladyjacks strung together some points of their own.

SET THREE | Princeton 25, SFA 20
• Half of Anyia Williams' kills came in the final set but the sophomore was the bright spot for an otherwise ineffective SFA attack. Though Williams hit .364, the Ladyjacks as a whole swung at a clip of -.021, committing 12 errors against 11 terminations.
• Maggie O'Connell slammed home a pair of kills during the Tigers' 4-2 run to start, but the Ladyjacks responded with three consecutive points to take their first lead of the match.
• Princeton bounced back and retook the lead before a 5-1 SFA run featuring kills from three individuals pushed the Ladyjacks up 13-10.
• Five SFA attack errors represented the entirety of Princeton's scoring in a 5-1 run that pushed the Tigers back up by a 15-14 margin. McKenzie Brewer capped back-to-back points by the Ladyjacks with a service ace but the 16-15 lead that resulted from it proved to by SFA's last.
