Volleyball Reports For Fall Camp

NACOGDOCHES, Texas - The Ladyjack volleyball team reported for camp on Sunday and is set to begin preparation for the upcoming 2009 season on Monday. Debbie Humphreys and her staff welcomed back 14 players on this year's roster, including five true freshmen.
The Ladyjacks spent Sunday being issued equipment and checking into residence halls before taking part in a team dinner Sunday evening. As for Monday, the team was slated to go through conditioning tests early Monday morning before positional and team practices throughout the day in Shelton Gym.
The girls will bridge the 18 days before the start of the 2009 campaign with a steady dose of the same practice schedule before embarking on the season's first road trip August 27 and opening up play the following morning against Illinois-Chicago.
SFA will be looking to build off its 20-9 campaign last season, going 11-5 in the Southland Conference. Preseason polls are scheduled to be released next week with preseason all-conference teams included.
