Jeans Named to All-Tournament Team

NATCHITOCHES, La. - After adding his name to the Southland Conference Championship Tournament record books, David Jeans was named to the 2007 all-tournament team, announced league officials at the conclusion of the tournament Saturday afternoon.
Jeans, a Center, Texas senior, tied a tournament record for hits in a game after a five-hit performance Thursday against McNeese State. As the Lumberjacks sailed to a record 21 hits in the contest, the senior designated hitter was 5-for-5 with a run scored and one RBI.
Jeans became the third player to collect five hits during the SLC tournament and the first since 2001.
