
Luetge Named Pitcher of the Week

FRISCO, Texas - The Southland Conference awarded the Aeropostale Pitcher of the Week award to Stephen F. Austin's Lance Luetge after holding one of the league's best hitting teams to two hits Sunday afternoon, the conference office announced Monday afternoon.
Luetge held the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Islanders hitless through 8.2 innings of work, fanning a career-high 11 batters. The Islanders are the hottest hitting team in the SLC with a team batting average of over .320.
Earlier in the week, the Industry, Texas, senior started against the Houston Cougars and also held them hitless and walked one in an inning of work. For the week, Luetge walked two and had a 0.90 ERA. The southpaw is now 5-2 on the season.
