NACOGDOCHES - Arielle Daron has signed a national letter of intent to play volleyball at Stephen F. Austin beginning next fall, announced Ladyjack head coach Debbie Humphreys Wednesday morning.
"We are extremely excited to have Arielle joining us next season. She is a top-notch athlete with a good volleyball base to work from," said Humphreys.
Daron comes to Nacogdoches from Houston, Texas, where she was a three-sport athlete at Spring Wood High School. She was team captain and a first-team all-district pick in both volleyball and basketball. The 5-10 Daron was also named the MVP for volleyball and track. In the classroom, Daron was on the volleyball and basketball all-academic teams.
"We expect Arielle to improve at a rapid pace she is strictly focusing on volleyball and is surrounded by players who will challenge her," Humphreys said about the incoming freshman. "She loves the game and isn't afraid of hard work."
