Cramer Named SLC Player of the Week

PLANO - Stephen F. Austin Ladyjacks Laura Cramer and Stephanie Figgers were named the Aeropostale Southland Conference Players of the Week, announced by conference officials Monday afternoon.
Cramer, an All-SLC preseason pick, had 40 kills, averaging 4.44 kills per game, in the team's two matches over the weekend. The Ladyjacks went 1-1, defeating Wichita State but falling to Houston. The Abilene native also had four total blocks, four service aces and 21 digs to close out the weekend in Houston.
Figgers, the SLC's 2004 Libero of the Year, averaged 4.62 digs per game finishing with 42 on the weekend in the nine games.
The Ladyjacks return to the court on Friday at the Cyclone Classic at Iowa State in Ames, Iowa where they will face the Drake Bulldogs at 10 a.m. and then take on South Dakota State at 5 p.m.
