Gibert Resigns to Become Head Coach at Lamar

BEAUMONT, Texas - Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack volleyball assistant coach Justin Gibert was named the head coach at Lamar announced LU officials Wednesday afternoon. Gibert just completed his second season with SFA head coach Debbie Humphreys.
Gibert joined the Ladyjack coaching staff prior to the 2003 season and helped guide the Ladyjacks to a 45-19 (.703) record during that time. This past season he assisted Humphreys in coaching the Ladyjacks to 18-straight victories to close out the 2004 season with a share of the Southland Conference regular-season championship.
In Gibert's two seasons with the Ladyjacks, eight players earned All-SLC honors, including 2004 SLC Player of the Year Brittany Burton.
