PLANO, Texas - Senior middle blocker Brittany Burton was name Southland Conference Offensive Player of the Week announced league officials Monday afternoon. It is the fourth time in Burton's career that she has earned league player of the week honors.
Burton led SFA to two victories last week with her stellar performances against McNeese State and Lamar. Burton recorded 21 kills while hitting .432 against the Cowgirls. She also added four blocks in the match. She came right back to lead SFA with 16 kills and .538 attack percentage against Lamar the following day. Burton also added five blocks against the Lady Cardinals.
SFA returns to action Tuesday night when they host North Texas. The match against the Mean Green is slated to begin at 7 p.m., from the William R. Johnson Coliseum.
