SFA Volleyball Earns National Honor

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack volleyball team was named a recipient of the prestigious AVCA National Academic Award for a fourth consecutive season announced AVCA officials Monday afternoon.
The award honors both high school and college programs that achieve a 3.30 cumulative grade-point average during the school year. The AVCA began presenting the award for the 1992-93 academic year.
SFA is one of only seven schools to receive the honor in four-straight seasons. The Ladyjacks streak of four consecutive academic honors currently ties for the fourth-longest streak in the country.
The Ladyjacks kick-off the 2003 schedule on Friday Aug. 29th when they travel to El Paso, Texas to take on UTEP. The match is slated to begin at 11 a.m.
