NACOGDOCHES, Texas- Stephen F. Austin swept LSU New Orleans 3-0 (25-20, 25-23, 25-23) on Saturday. The Ladyjacks hit .317 with 50 kills and reached at least 16 kills in each set, exceeding their season average hitting percentage of .210.

The Privateers scored the first three points and led 4-1 before SFA answered with kills from Madi Zorn, Kennedy Jones, Molly Cravens and Kyanna Creecy during a stretch that moved the Ladyjacks ahead 6-4, and Jones later put SFA up 7-5. After the Privateers pulled even at 9-9, SFA scored the next six points, with Creecy serving two aces and Katherine Holtman and Avery Koonsen adding kills before Jordan Henderson-Holtman's block helped make it 15-9. The Privateers stayed within 17-14, but a Henderson kill and back-to-back Ryan Williams attack errors, including a Creecy-Cravens block, pushed SFA back out to 20-14. The Privateers cut the margin to 22-19 late, but Creecy stopped the run with a kill, Mariana Franco's service error brought up set point, and Koonsen finished the opening set at 25-20.

The Privateers scored the first four points of the second set, but kills from Haley Peterson, Jones, Cravens, and Creecy helped SFA get even at 6-6. The Privateers later went up 9-6 on consecutive SFA attack errors, before Jones and Creecy helped SFA pull even again at 9-9 in a stretch that stayed tight through 15-15. After the Privateers moved ahead 18-16, SFA answered with a Laura Piva attack error, a Peterson kill, and a Creecy ace for a 19-18 lead, and Holtman's kill tied the set again at 20-20. Cravens and Jones gave the Ladyjacks set point at 24-22, and after Ryan Williams' kill made it 24-23, Creecy finished the set with a kill from Zorn for a 25-23 win.

The Privateers moved in front midway through the third set, using a four-point stretch to turn a 7-7 tie into an 11-7 lead before later going ahead 16-11. SFA pulled even at 16-16 behind Aniston Collins' service ace and three Holtman kills, then answered a 17-16 deficit with another Holtman kill to tie it again. Jones served SFA through a four-point run that pushed the lead to 21-17, with Holtman adding two kills and Creecy and Koonsen combining on a block. The Privateers cut the margin to 24-23 late, but Cravens finished a kill from Zorn to close the set 25-23 for SFA.
