Jacks Host TAMU-Corpus Christi for Final SLC Series

SFA will celebrate six seniors this weekend as they face off against the Islanders.
NACOGDOCHES, Texas- The Stephen F. Austin softball team will return home for their final regular season series against the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Islanders.
WEEKEND SCHEDULE
• Due to potential weather the original schedule has been shifted to a Friday doubleheader at 12:00 and 2:30 p.m. and a Saturday single game at 1:00 p.m.
• Senior Day festivities will take place after the Saturday series finale.
• Saturday's game will be broadcasted on ESPN+, but Friday's games are TBD.
SCOUTING TAMUCC
• The Islanders enter this final weekend with a 14-34 overall record and are sitting in the No. 8 seed with an 8-16 SLC record.
• Last weekend TAMUCC swept the Northwestern State Demons.
• Skylar Heger leads the team with 38 hits, a .290 batting average, and nine doubles.
• Karisa Lopez leads the Islanders with three triples this season.
• The TAMUCC pitching staff has a 7.11 ERA and are led by Kendra Winfrey who has a 6.75 ERA with 32 appearances, nine wins, and 75 strikeouts in 113.0 innings of work.
SENIOR WEEKEND
• After Saturday's game, SFA will honor six seniors; Ellie Vance, Jordyn Ages, Lilly Bean, Adelyn Becerra, Kylie Bishop, and Amelia Hatthorn.
NATIONAL RANKINGS
• Ellie Vance is 10th in the nation with 72 hits and is the 34th hardest batter in the nation to strikeout.
• Crimson Bryant is ranked 25th in shutouts with four. She is also 113th in the nation with 91 strikeouts.
CONFERENCE RANKINGS
• Ellie Vance is second in the conference with 72 hits and is tied for second with a .421 batting average.
• Malia Jones is tied for third with nine home runs.
• Jamie Varga is fourth with 29 walks drawn and Malia Jones is sixth with 27 walks drawn.
• Amelia Hatthorn is tied for the fifth best ERA in the conference at 2.92.
• Crimson Bryant has the eighth lowest opposing batting average at .252 and is second with 91 batters struck out.
PITCHING ON LOCKDOWN
• The staff for SFA has a third best 3.65 ERA in the conference this season, led by Amelia Hatthorn who has a 2.92 ERA.
• Crimson Bryant is the strikeout queen with 91 on the season including 14 in her Lumberjack debut after transferring from UT Tyler. Bryant leads the team with 102.0 innings pitched.
• Amelia Hatthorn leads the Jacks with 29 appearances and a 9-7 record in 91.0 innings of work.
BOMBS AWAY
• The Jacks have hit 28 homeruns this season.
• Malia Jones leads the team with nine.
• Ella Hill is second on the team with six, three of which she hit during the first day of the Roadrunner Classic and hit the walk-off winner to break SLU's 25-game win streak in the series finale.
• Adelyn Becerra hit two homeruns in the ETAMU series and doubled her homerun count to four.
• Lilly Bean hit two of her four homeruns this season against PVAMU on March 31.
• Kara Pride has two while Kaylee Paul and Kyi'Marri Ester each have one. Ester's was a grand slam against ETAMU.
• Kayden Frazier hit her first collegiate homerun against McNeese.

• In the ETAMU series, Kaylee Paul recorded 100 career hits and Crimson Bryant recorded 150 career strikeouts.
