SFA is in action for the first of seven weekends inside, first of two trips to Fayetteville

NACOGDOCHES, Texas – Action inside begins January 16 for Stephen F. Austin's men's and women's track and field teams as the Arkansas Invitational awaits the squads on Friday. It will be the first of seven weekends indoors and the first of two trips to Northwest Arkansas. The one-day meet begins at noon with the men's shot put, while the prelims of the women's 60m hurdles jumpstarts a full afternoon of track competition at 12:30 p.m. The action will be streamed live on SEC Network+ and live results are available at SFAjacks.com.

Joining the Jacks in Fayetteville will be meet host Arkansas, Arkansas-Pine Bluff, Central Arkansas, Little Rock, Coffeyville CC, Iowa, Louisiana Tech, North Texas, Oral Roberts, Pittsburg State, Southern Mississippi, Texas State, Tennessee and UTA.

Among the Lumberjacks that scored points in the SFA men's 2025 Southland Conference Indoor Track & Field title-winning squad that will be in Fayetteville for the 2026 season opener are Payton Bragg (PV), Hunter Murphy (HJ), Riley Elliott (3000m), Ryan Binskin (3000m), Robert Fulle (1 mile, 800M) and Johnny Banks III (200M).

For the SFA women, 2025 SLC Indoor Championship point-scoring athletes Valentine Jemutai (3000M), Mercy Kipchumba (3000M), Trude Lamb (3000M), Jada Gibson (300M), Kennedy Swann (60M, 200M) and Timiejha Furlow (60M) will be in action for the Jacks.
