
SFA Hosts Houston for the Sixth Meeting in Nacogdoches

Former SFA Head Coach Ben Williams makes his return to the Piney Woods alongside four previous Lumberjacks.
NACOGDOCHES, Texas – Stephen F. Austin Women's Soccer will clash with the University of Houston for a Sunday match set for 7:00 p.m. on September 7.
SFA sports a 4-6-3 record against the Cougars, with their last match resulting in a 0-0 draw on August 22, 2024. The last victory the Lumberjacks had over Houston was in 2023 when the 'Jacks hosted the Cougars, resulting in a 2-0 victory.
SFA is coming off a pivotal draw against Texas A&M, when Sierra McCluer led the 'Jacks on defense with eight saves against the Aggies. Brielle Buchanan leads SFA in play time at 458 minutes this season. Logan Heausler is continuing to push the offense, leading in the shot department with 14 and averaging 2.33 shots a game. Sydney Williams keeps setting the tone on defense with three 90-minute matches on the season, averaging 76.33 minutes a match.
