Logan Heausler notches first goal on the season with two shots on goal.
SAN MARCOS, Texas – The Stephen F. Austin Women's Soccer team fell in a 5-1 match to the Bobcats of Texas State on August 28.
In the 29th meeting with the Bobcats, the first half opened with three shots from the Bobcats, as the third one landed the Bobcats on the scoreboard in the seventh minute of the match. SFA matched Texas State in the shot department with five each in the first half, as Sierra McCluer notched two saves for the 'Jacks.
Logan Heausler collected her first goal of the season, as she fended off one Texas State defender just from outside of the box with a left-foot strike, delivering the ball top shelf in the 22nd minute before action concluded with a 2-1 Bobcat lead at the half.
In the second half, SFA was outshot 6-5 with three goals from Texas State to give the Bobcats a 5-1 victory. Alex Bayouth led in shots on the night, with three of the 10 shots coming from the sophomore forward.

SFA moves to 0-2-2 on the season and travels out west to conclude their four-game road trip at UTEP for a 2:00 PM kick-off on August 31.
