NACOGDOCHES, Texas- The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack Tennis team (7-4, 2-0) return home to open up a three-game homestand, starting on Saturday afternoon when they host Southland opponent Texas A&M Corpus-Christi (12-1, 2-0).
Ladyjacks at a Glance:
The Ladyjacks will look to keep the wins rolling in this weekend as they boast a three-game winning streak coming into Friday afternoon against the Islanders. SFA started the win streak with a 4-1 home win over Arkansas State, before hitting the road to start conference play and recording consecutive sweeps over Nicholls and New Orleans to launch out to a commanding start in Southland Conference play. Sonja Rooth has made her presence felt as a freshman as she has transformed into a key cog for SFA, as she is fresh off winning Southland Conference Player of the Week thanks to going a perfect 6-0 during the three-game winning streak for the 'Jacks. The Ladyjacks will look to continue their strong play at home and improve their 2-1 home record on the year.

The Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Islanders will carry a three-game winning streak of their own into Nacogdoches on Saturday afternoon after recording 5-2 win over UTRGV, a 4-3 win over McNeese, and a 7-0 sweep over Southeastern Louisiana their last time out. The Islanders started their 2025 season with a bang as they won nine straight games to start the year, before dropping a 4-1 match to UTSA, and rattling off three straight wins to start conference play. The Islanders have been unbeatable in conference play as they have tallied 28 straight conference wins, having not lost a conference match since 2022 as they look to keep their impressive streak rolling on Saturday in the Piney Woods.

NACOGDOCHES, Texas-The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjacks Tennis team (7-4, 2-0) continue their homestand against the visiting UTRGV Vaqueros (4-3, 2-0) on Monday morning.
Vaqueros at a Glance:
The UTRGV Vaqueros have also started conference play on a strong note as they have recorded a 6-1 win over Southeastern Louisiana and a 4-3 win over McNeese most recently to start conference play 2-0. The wins helped UTRGV simultaneously improve their home record to 4-1, as they have also recorded 6-1 home wins over Texas A&M University-Kingsvile and Prairie View A&M. The Vaqueros close out a two-game road trip on Monday morning in Nacogdoches as they seek their first road win of the season, and will start the road trip on Saturday afternoon in Natchitoches for a conference matchup with the Northwestern State Lady Demons.
