Howie Ryan Invitational
HOUSTON, Texas - The SFA Track and Field will be traveling back to Houston for the third and final time this year to compete in the Howie Ryan Invitational, hosted by the University of Houston.
Riley Elliott and Elkana Kipruto headline the group traveling to Houston, as they will try to build on their dominant seasons. Kipruto and Elliot have multiple top-five finishes this year, most recently placing second and fourth at the Robert Platt Invitational two weeks ago. Robert Fulle will also be running in the Invitational. He will look to continue his momentum from the Robert Platt Invitational, where he placed second in the men's 800 meters.
The meet will be a one-day meet, with all the action taking place on Friday, February 14th.
Tyson Invitational
FAYETTEVILLE, Arkansas - SFA will also send a group to the Tyson Invitational in Arkansas, hosted by the University of Arkansas.
Headlining the group headed to Arkansas will be Amani Graham and Kennedy Swann. Graham is coming off a fourth-place finish in Houston two weeks ago, and Swann placed second at the same meet. Jarvis Anderson will also be competing in Arkansas. He has had a good start to the year, most notably placing ninth at the ultra-competitive Corky Classic in Lubbock, Texas.
This will be a two-day event, starting on Friday, February 14th and wrapping up on Saturday, February 15th.
Valentine Invitational
BOSTON, Massachusetts - Finally, the SFA Track and Field team will send a group to Boston to take part in the Valentine Invitational, hosted by Boston University.
The 'Jacks will be represented well in Boston, as 35 SFA athletes will be competing. Jamie Richardson will look to have a strong meet after placing sixth at the competitive Corky Classic. Garrett Savage will look to build on a successful season. He also performed well in Lubbock, placing ninth in the men's high jump.
This will also be a two-day event, as the athletes will compete on February 14th and 15th.
