
Chepkoech, Garcia Break Program Records as Jacks Cap Successful Saturday

COLLEGE STATION, Texas – First-year Jack Evaline Chepkoech produced a new standard in the women's one mile with a time of 4:46.66 and Keyshawn Garcia set a new program record with a time of 1:49.16 in the 800m and Stephen F. Austin capped Saturday's action in College Station with a successful showing overall among a heavy major conference field. Chepkoech finished in sixth place and Garcia earned a podium placement with a third-place finish.
Bryson Williams finished second in the triple jump with a personal-best mark of 16.04m (52-7 ½). Jarvis Anderson finished in 17th at 14.54m (47-8 ½).
Samuel Pavin totaled 5,270 points in the heptathlon to finish in eighth place. On Saturday, he finished eighth in the 60mH, sixth in the pole vault and 13th in the 1000m. Pavin's result lands him inside the program's top five all-time in the heptathlon at fourth place.
Kylee Pardo ran to a seventh-place result in the women's 3000m with a personal-best time of 10:48.62. Lauren Creaby finished inside the field's top 20 at 19th place in the 800m with a time of 2:12.84. Miranda Michelle Duran Juarez joined Chepkoech with a sub-5-minute finish in the one mile at 4:59.97 to place 17th.
In the women's 3000m, Landry Perkin led two other Jacks to top 20 placements as she registered a 16thplace time of 10:45.32. Pardo finished 17th with a personal-best time of 10:48.62. Keara Zver was 19that 10:55.61.
Perry Watkins finished the men's 60m in 7.01. Robert Fulle (1:51.81) and Pablo Lesarri (1:52.69) both finished in the top 20 of the 800m field. Lesarri becomes the ninth fastest Jack in the event.
Victor Ramos recorded a personal-best mark of 17.93m (58-10) in the men's weight throw to earn a sixth-place finish.
Aubrey Griffin and Annalee Gardner each cleared 3.55m (11-7 ¾) in the pole vault.
The SFA men ran to a sixth-place finish in the 4x400m with a time of 3:13.34. The SFA women finished the event in 3:54.12.
