Ladyjacks Split Opening Weekend in Tulsa

TULSA, Okla.- The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjacks tennis team (1-1) traveled to Tulsa to face off against the Golden Eagles of Oral Roberts (0-3) and the Hurricanes of Tulsa (6-0).
In the first match of the season, the 'Jacks secured the doubles point after Sonja Rooth and Alkimini Giannakogiorgou won their match 7-6 (7-1) followed by a 7-5 win from Jemma Cave and Ana Paula Chavez.
In singles play, Felicia Back picked up a win in line two; 6-1, 7-6 (4). Jemma Cave picked up a win in line three; 6-2, 6-3. Sonja Rooth followed with a 7-5 and 6-2 win in line four. Ana Paula Chavez wrapped it up for the 'Jacks with a three set victory; 6-7 (2), 6-2, 6-2.
