QUOTABLE
Head Coach Kim Gidley stated, "It was so much fun to get to compete and to see where this team is at. We saw some great stuff in doubles and were proud of how the team was implementing the system. The duo of Avery and Jules were textbook on the first day, competed with great energy, and were the highest finishers for the week, placing second in their flight. Abbey played with a player from another team and finished third, while Jemma and AP won the backdraw, placing fifth. Overall, all three teams went 2-1 for the weekend. There were some great takeaways in our doubles, and I am super excited about where we will be by the end of the fall."

Gidley added, "The team battled hard in the singles, and we lost a few close matches that could have gone either way. To see how everyone competes with their own style under pressure was huge for me as a coach, as I have never seen anyone on this team in true competition yet. This weekend will help me build our practices and come up with a game plan for each singles player. Even though we have things to improve on, the players fought, which always makes for a great start."
