NACOGDOCHES, Texas- The Stephen F. Austin Lumberjacks (4-1-2, 0-0-0) started off conference play on the right foot as they defeated the visiting Lamar University Cardinals (2-5-2) 3-0 to finish off their three-game homestand and record their fourth consecutive victory.

The Lumberjacks coming off another commanding home win over UAPB picked up right where they left off last week as in just the seventh minute of the game, a Maddie Bowers pass would find Lily Hargrove on a centering pass in the box that Hargrove would rocket into the net to put SFA ahead 1-0 early. However, the Lumberjacks weren't done for the first half as in the 34th minute, Bowers would continue to keep the points rolling in as she would send another one hop centering pass into the six-yard box and allowed Brielle Buchanan to send another rocket into the Lamar net and stake SFA to a 2-0 halftime lead. The second half saw SFA gain a critical insurance goal midway through the half as Reaganne Crane, fresh off a four-goal, nine-point performance against UAPB, carried her momentum into tonight as she would take a pass from Brinlee Weir and sneak a shot just under the crossbar in the 73rd minute to give SFA the 3-0 lead, which they would not relinquish in an eventual 3-0 home win.
