SFA Track and Field Competes in Dual Meets

WACO,Texas/WALNUT, Calif.- The Stephen F. Austin will be competing in another multi-meet weekend this week. SFA will be sending a group to the Michael Johnson Invitational that is hosted by Baylor University. The 'Jacks will also have a second group competing in the Mt. SAC Relays.
Stephen F. Austin is coming off a successful showing at the Carl Kight Invitational & Multis. It was SFA's first meet to host this year, and they made it count. Homer Bryce Stadium was the stage for the meet, over a three-day span. SFA grabbed nine 1st place finishes. The Lumberjacks also had a chance to honor this year's seniors and graduating class.
Michael Johnson Invitational:
The women's hammer throw competition starts the meet on Friday morning at 11 a.m. in the throws area adjacent to Touchdown Alley, behind the Hart Stadium grandstands. Saturday begins at the same time with the women's javelin throw competition on the infield of the stadium.
Mt. SAC Relays:
The Mt. SAC Relays will begin on Friday morning at 11:00 a.m. with the women's high jump and end on Saturday at 7:40 p.m. with the 4x1600 relay. All events will be located at the Hilmer Lodge Stadium.
Both meets this week will last for two days (Friday-Saturday). SFA's dual meet weekend will be followed up by next week's Texas Invitational. This will be the second time this season that the Lumberjack's outdoor team has competed at a track meet hosted by the University of Texas.
