NACOGDOCHES, Texas- Stephen F. Austin Women's Soccer will play host to Southern Methodist University (SMU) on August 31st at 7:00pm.
Lumberjacks at a Glance:
Stephen F. Austin enters their third home game of the year with a 1-3 overall record. The Lumberjacks are coming off a hard fought 1-0 loss against the Louisiana-Lafayette Ragin' Cajuns in which they had 28 total shots with nine of those shots being on goal. Leading the way for the Lumberjacks will be freshman Caelynn January who currently has the team lead in goals (one) and points (two). January is also tied for second on the team in total shots with seven, and shots on goal with three. Ella Morgan and Jamie Jezierski, who leads the team in shots on goal with four, have provided consistency for SFA as both currently average 80+ minutes of playtime a game. Meanwhile, Lydia Sattler has been a mainstay in net for the 'Jacks as she has been goalie for all four games this season. Sattler has played all 90 minutes in each of the four games and has recorded 13 saves so far this season.

Facing off against SFA will be the SMU Mustangs, who hold a 1-1 overall record this season and are coming off an impressive victory against No. 25 ranked Tennessee in which the Mustangs defeated the Volunteers 2-1. Mackenzie Rudden, Peyton Annen, and Samantha Estrada have been machines in the Mustang lineup so far this season, as all three have played the full 90 minutes of both games the Mustangs have played this season.
