Lumberjacks Pick Up First Win of the Season at Tulsa

TULSA, Okla.- Stephen F. Austin defeated Tulsa, 1-0 Sunday afternoon and picked up their first win of the 2023 season.
After a scoreless first half, the lone goal in this game was an own goal by Tulsa scored in the 55th minute. The 'Jacks were able to fend off several attacks from the Hurricane in the second half in order to secure the first SFA victory of the season.
Freshmen, Shaley Lewis and Caelynn January each recorded a shot on goal. Jayme Bailey and Kristen Fuentes each recorded a shot as well. Goalkeeper, Lydia Sattler recorded two saves in today's match.
The 'Jacks will head back to Nacogdoches for a four-game home stand beginning with Houston on Thursday August 24th at 7:00 p.m. at the Chopping Block.
