Former Ladyjack striker leads El Salvador’s Liga Femenina with 24 goals through 15 matches in her first professional season with CD FAS.
NACOGDOCHES, Texas — Former Stephen F. Austin women's soccer standout Destiny Davis is making an immediate impact in her first professional season, taking over the Liga Femenina scoring race with CD FAS Femenino in El Salvador.
Since signing with CD FAS in July, Davis has quickly established herself as one of the league's most dangerous attacking players. In 15 matches, the former Ladyjack leads the Liga Femenina with 24 goals, a remarkable opening stretch that has powered CD FAS through the regular season and into championship contention.
Davis' scoring production has been as consistent as it has been explosive. She delivered a hat trick in CD FAS' August win over Platense and has continued to produce in recent victories over Metapán and Inca, recording multiple goals in each match. With the regular season nearing its conclusion, Davis owns the league's Golden Boot lead and has become the focal point of the FAS attack.
The San Antonio native signed professionally after competing with Lady Arsenal FC in the United Premier Soccer League, taking the next step in her career with one of El Salvador's most recognizable clubs. Her transition from the UPSL to the professional ranks has been seamless, and her early output has made her one of the breakout performers in the Liga Femenina.
Before beginning her professional career, Davis competed for the Ladyjacks from 2017-20. She appeared in 48 matches across four seasons, contributing to multiple Southland Conference Tournament runs and helping uphold the standard of one of the nation's most consistent women's soccer programs.
