NACOGDOCHES, Texas- The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjacks Volleyball team finishes off their four-game home stretch looking to tame the ACU Wildcats.
Ladyjacks at a Glance:
Stephen F. Austin will be looking to continue their dominance at the Pressure Cooker on Saturday afternoon. The 'Jacks are coming off their second straight conference sweep in a 3-0 victory over the Tarleton State Texans on Thursday night. In the game against Tarleton, SFA led in points (58-41), kills (48-38), aces (4-1), blocks (6-2), assists (44-36), digs (59-48), and hitting percentage (.333-.212).
Freshman Tanishua Joseph strung together another strong start for SFA to help power them to another conference sweep. Joseph posted another double-digit kill game as she led the Ladyjacks with 12 kills. Ielan Bradley continues to form a dominant duo with Joseph as she finished second on the team with 11 kills as Bradley and Joseph combined for 26 total points. Bradley leads the team in kills with 247 on the season. Jayden Flynn and Maddy Bourque's strong seasons continue as Flynn led the team with 20 assists while Bourque followed closely behind with 19. Flynn leads the team in both assists with 438 and service aces with 23. Defensively, Izabella Ortiz tied for the team lead in blocks with Ielan Bradley as each finished with three. Ortiz's three kills on Thursday pushed her over the 100-block threshold for the season as she sits at 101 blocks on the season, good for fifth most in the nation. Four Ladyjacks finished with double-digit digs against Tarleton. Camryn Hill led the team with 13, Ariana Pagan finished second with 12, and Maddy Bourque and Haley Hoang tied with ten digs apiece. Hoang is now up to 312 digs on the season, which is good for tops on the Ladyjacks.
The Ladyjacks have now won 25 consecutive home games and continue to hold their spot at second in the nation in that category. SFA currently sits at second in the nation in Team Total Blocks as they currently have 207 on the season. SFA enters this match on a seven-game win streak with a 18-3 overall record, a 7-0 conference record, and a 11-0 home record. SFA has swept six of their first seven conference games played and will look to keep their momentum rolling and keep their undefeated home and conference record intact.

The ACU Wildcats travel to Nacogdoches coming off a reverse sweep victory of UT Arlington 3-2. Despite being on the road and dropping the first two sets, ACU fought back and won the final three sets against the Mavericks to secure their fourth straight win. In the game against UTA, ACU led in kills (61-60), assists (57-54), aces (8-4), and points (78-77). On the season, ACU holds a 10-9 overall record, a 5-2 conference record, and a 2-4 away record. The Wildcats get production from their entire team which has helped fuel their recent four-game win streak. Ashli Edmiston leads the team with 209 kills, Madeline Guffy easily paces the team with 550 assists, while Abby Christian is tied with Guffy for the team lead in service aces with 28. Sara Carrizales leads the team on defense with 283 digs, while Breanna Box has recorded 43 blocks on the season.
Series: This will be the Ladyjacks 12th meeting with the Wildcats. These two teams met each other once last season in October of 2022, which saw the Ladyjacks rally from a 2-1 deficit to claim a 3-2 win in five sets on the road in Abilene.
