Track and Field Travel to Lubbock and New Mixico

LUBBOCK, Texas- Today, Stephen F. Austin's track and field team traveled to Lubbock, Texas to take part in the Texas Tech Open and Multis Meet.
This meet will be very competitive, when it comes to the class of weight throwers. Jayla Hooper is competing in a very competitive section of weight throw and shot put.
Cameron Steward will be leading the men's weight throws. Steward will be accompanied by Cade Willis, who is expecting a big shot put performance.
The Lumberjack's will have their men's middle distance run 600m and distance medley relay. All of the men's runners will return tomorrow, to take part in the 800m.
Stephen F. Austin's men and women's pole vault are competing separate from the rest of the competition in Lubbock, Texas. Erica Ellis and Branson Ellis highlight the pole vault for SFA. Branson Ellis currently holds the 4th best pole vault in the nation. The Ellis tandem will look to further assert their dominance in the New Mexico Team Challenge.
Both meets will hold events tomorrow, before they wrap up the final standings.
