NACOGDOCHES, Texas- Stephen F. Austin defeated the University of Tulsa (3-0) in the final match of the SFA Hampton Inn Invitational.

SFA swept Tulsa and won the first set by six points (25-19), the second set by nine (25-16), and the third set by 11 (25-14). The Ladyjacks led the Golden Hurricanes in every category; points (65-35), kills (46-29), aces (10-5), blocks (9-1), assists (40-26) and digs (74-59). Senior Ariana Pagan once again led the offensive attack for SFA with 14 kills and was three digs away from recording another double-double. Leah Powell did record a double-double in this game with 11 kills and 10 digs. Maddy Bourque led the Ladyjacks again with 26 assists, she also had six aces in this game which is a career high. Haley Hoang once again led the defensive effort for SFA with 28 digs in today's sweep.

The Ladyjacks travel to Hattiesburg, Mississippi next weekend for the Southern Mississippi Invitational. Games start Friday, September 9th at 12 p.m. when SFA faces Mississippi Valley State. The Ladyjacks will play their second game on Friday at 6 p.m. as they face host Southern Mississippi. The final game for SFA will be on Saturday, September 10th at 12 p.m. as the Ladyjacks matchup against Houston Baptist.
