Volleyball Faces North Texas in Home Opener

NACOGDOCHES, Texas- The Stephen F. Austin Volleyball program face off against North Texas on Teacher Appreciation Day, in their home opener this Tuesday.
SFA is coming off a hot performance in SMU's tournament this past weekend.
Finishing with a 3-0 record and ending SMU's undefeated streak. SFA won 3-1 against SMU, UC Irvine, and DePaul. Ielan Bradley had a team high 43 kills, with a high of 17 coming from their game against UC Irvine. Through the three games, Maddy Bourque was able to post an impressive 84 assists.
Ielan Bradley also kept Stephen F. Austin's defense composed, posting 10 blocks throughout the tournament. Leah Powell contributed to fast points, posting 6 aces in SFA's three games.
The volleyball team enters Tuesday's contest 3-0 against the Eagles who are 1-3. Haley Hoang also received WAC Defensive Player of the Week honors, after her stellar performance this weekend. She averaged 5.42 digs per set with a game high of 28 against DePaul. She leads the team with 65 digs on the season.
