
Volleyball Ends SMU Tournament Undefeated

DALLAS, Texas- The Stephen F. Austin Volleyball program finished out the SMU Doubletree Tournament with a matchup against host SMU. SFA came out on top again by the score of 3-1 as they did against DePaul and UC Irvine.
SFA took set one (27-25), SMU took the second set (18-25), then SFA won the final two sets (25-22, 25-15). Ielan Bradley led the team with 13 kills followed by Izabella Ortiz who recorded 10 kills. Maddy Bourque led the team with 22 assists followed by Jayden Flynn who had 17 assists. Haley Hoang led the team with 23 digs followed by Arianna Pagan who had 10. This game brings Haley Hoang to 940 career digs and Arianna Pagan to 928 career digs.
The volleyball team will be at home for their first game of the 2022 season on Tuesday, August 30th at 6:30 p.m. for a matchup with North Texas on Teacher Appreciation Day.
