Ladyjacks Kickoff 22 Season Competing Against the Aggies

COLLEGE STATION, Texas- The Stephen F. Austin soccer team traveled to College Station for an exhibition matchup against the Aggies of Texas A&M. SFA battled throughout the game but the Aggies were the victors by a score of 2-1.

The Aggies struck first in the 22nd minute when Laney Carroll scored off of a pass from MaKhiya McDonald. Georgia Leb scored the second goal for Texas A&M in the 41st minute of off a pass from Maile Hayes. The Ladyjacks got on the board in the 77th minute off of an own goal by the Aggies.

Jayme Bailey led the Ladyjacks with two shots followed by Avery Brandt, and Colleen Feagins who both recorded one shot. Koral Hughes and Logan Pilgreen each recorded two saves and Lydia Sattler followed with one.

The Ladyjacks will be on the road for the first game of the regular season in Baton Rouge as they face off with the Tigers of LSU. Kickoff is Thursday, August 18th at 6PM.
