EDINBURG, Texas- The Stephen F. Austin volleyball program continues its conference schedule at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. This is a key WAC matchup becuase UTRGV is currently undefeated in conference play and would be the number one seed in the tournament. SFA is currently sitting as the number three seed.
In the game against Sam Houston last Thursday, Izabella Ortiz had a stellar performance with a career high 17 kills as well as two blocks. Payton Cerny and Ielan Bradley joined Ortiz in the scoring attack with 16 and 14 kills, respectively. Ariana Pagan recorded her ninth double-double of the season with 10 kills and 18 digs. Jayden Flynn had 31 assists, while Maddy Bourque recorded 23. Haley Hoang once again led the team in digs with 20, followed by Pagan's 18.
