FAYETTEVILLE, ARK. -- The SFA soccer team didn't back down until the final whistle against Arkansas in Fayetteville, holding them scoreless in the final 30 minutes of the game to lose by a 6-1 margin. Senior Carli Arthurs put her name on the scoresheet in the 81st minute, as she catches Warner out of position. Jamie Jezierski also tallied her first assist of the season on the late Arthurs strike.
The goal was one of two shots put on goal by the 'Jacks with Kamryn Jiles claiming the other.
Maddie Talbot (1-3-1) was credited with the loss but was able to deny the Razorbacks four times to bump her save total on the season to 27 in just five games. Koral Hughes also saw her first action of the year, playing 25 minutes without conceding, including an amazing 1-on-1 save late in the game.
The 'Jacks will prepare for a trip to North Texas on Friday before heading home for a meeting with Prairie View A&M on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. at SFA Soccer Field.
